Nontraditional Families Are the New Tradition
Monday Oct 12, 2020
Monday Oct 12, 2020
This episode topic has been requested in one or another by you guys. So today, Dave and Ryan are scratching the surface of the stigma surrounding the "Nontraditional family". The one's that aren't the "Mad Men" style household.
More than 42% of people have stated they have some type of step-relative. Yet, this style of familyhood is looked at by some as "broken" or "not good for a child's upbringing". Again, this is just scratching the surface of this stigma, with more episodes to come down the line.

World's Greatest Dads Mini Series Part 1: Great Dads of History
Monday Oct 05, 2020
Monday Oct 05, 2020
It's not quite episode 50, but we wanted to do something to celebrate our 50th episode dropping! That's why we're doing a two-part mini-series on the stigma of being "World's Greatest Dad".
Today is part 1 of what we're calling "Greatest Dad's of History". We found six dads through different periods of time and a brief overview of what made them the best dads (in their own right) of history.
As if you could get away from it, here are the three things to keep in mind for today's episode.
1. No matter what life throws at you, you will always find a way for your children.
2. Your legacy will live on well after you have left this Earth.
3. Remember those we look up to and judge are dads too. They're trying their best just like you.
Be sure to tune in for Part 2 on Thursday (Episode 50) where we talk about the "stigma" surrounding being "World's Greatest Dad".

Being A Leader (or Parent), is Being A Follower First with Martin Vasquez
Thursday Oct 01, 2020
Thursday Oct 01, 2020
Today, Dave-O sits down with retired US Army veteran, Purple Heart recipient, and father of 3 girls Martin Vasquez.
Martin spent his younger years growing up in Brooklyn NY during the 80s and 90s when crime in the city was at it's worst. What he learned growing in a tough neighborhood, allowed him to excel in the Army where he deployed multiple times.
Martin has traveled all around the East Coast, finally settling down in Georgia. Being a father to Martin is knowing how to effectively lead. Being a leader and parent share similar traits and the conversation has some major value.
Take these three points home with you today.
1. Lead by example. Your kids will do as you do, not as you say.
2. Balance in your life is everything. Especially as a dad.
3. The impact you make now, will live on for generations to come.

Fearless Fathers State of the Show 1.0
Monday Sep 28, 2020
Monday Sep 28, 2020
Today, on this lightly edited, raw episode of Fearless Fathers, Dave and Ryan are going over the state of the podcast (and Ryan swears 30 seconds into recording).
It's been five months since we started this journey, and wanted to recap a bit on what it like getting the podcast going from the beginning (and the borderline anxiety), where we're at now, and what we have planned in the future for our family.
We wanted to keep this one as raw as possible (but still listenable) to have a feeling of what it was like when we released our first few episodes.
The future is looking bright for Fearless Fathers, and that has to do with you, our listeners.
As always, here are three takeaways for today.
1. Take those imperfect steps, harness your anxiety for positive gain.
2. Be willing to learn from your mistakes. Take everything as a test to become better.
3. Go out and continue to embrace the fear.
The show wouldn't be where it is now if it wasn't for you.
We would just be two dads, talking into a microphone for no one.
So THANK YOU.
We have some great stuff in the works, but we want to hear from YOU! Share your ideas, stories, topics, or just say what's up. Let us know what you'd like to see on our website to hello@fearlessfathers.net.

You're in Recovery, But you Can't Be Recovered with Tim Kephart
Thursday Sep 24, 2020
Thursday Sep 24, 2020
Today on the show, we have a father of one Tim Kephart from Pennsylvania. Tim has another child on the way, and works for a Fortune 500 company. By all accounts, Tim seems to have a comfortable life. But it wasn't always this way for him.
Tim fought his demons in battling with addiction for many years. His addiction caused him to be kicked out of the National Guard before getting through his first enlistment. His mental health took him on a journey where he thought he could find a life out of depression. It was an internal struggle of letting his demons control his life. Even when his son was born, he still had a road ahead.
After going through the rehab roulette, he found Jesus which helped propel him to break free and be sober since 2017.
The stigma surrounding depression is one that doesn't get talked about much but should be in the conversation more. Here are three takeaways in today's episode:
1. Hindsight is 20/20.
2. Knowing you may fail after winning, but rising using that as a catapult to higher places.
3. Have mindfulness in our everyday living.
Continue to fight everyday for your kid(s). Embrace who you are, and rise higher than you've ever gone!

Success is what you make it- Monday Motivation
Monday Sep 21, 2020
Monday Sep 21, 2020
Let's start this week off right. Let's build that passion, and get away from the "Oh man, its Monday" to "Let's crush this Monday!"
We're talking success today. What does success mean to you? Is it a fancy house? Having elite status? Having more money than you know what to do with? If it is, then this episode might not be for you.
We're hitting on three success comments from a question Dave posed to others out there asking what success means to them. There are some great things in here to get you back on track if you're feeling like your not as successful as you should be as a new dad.
OUR THREE TAKEAWAYS:
1. Go out make small goals, then make more goals after you met those.
2. Don't be afraid to leap to find new success as a parent
3. Don't forget to look in the now, not just the past or future.
This episode is to get you refocused, looking in a new light, and know that whatever it is your doing, make sure it lines up with what you want!

We Hope for Better Days with Matt Ruffino a.k.a RuffiØ
Thursday Sep 17, 2020
Thursday Sep 17, 2020
Today we have Matt Ruffino on the mic, who also goes by RuffiØ (Ruffi0). Matt is a father of two from Detroit, MI, and an Army veteran. Matt, like most new dads, fought hard with his mental health. But that didn't stop him from his passion which is his family and music.
Recently, Ruffi0 released his debut album "Speramus Meliora" which is a roller coaster ride of emotion. From the opening track "Corpse" all the way to "The Unknown", you know it's a man's struggles of mental health, depression, and thoughts of suicide.
In this episode, we are digging deep when it comes to battling our own mental health, things that have worked for Matt, and tools to take away. We also touch on why he went the route he did with the album, and what it's meant for him and his listeners.
If there is anything you take away in today's episode, it should be these three things:
1. Imperfect action is better than waiting for "the right time".
2. We are all cut from the same cloth one way or another.
3. Stepping away without a fallback will lead to great things.
You can check out RuffiØ at his official site www.ruffi0.com.
You can also check out "Speramus Meliora" anywhere you can find music. Check out the Spotify here.
Don't forget we have our Fearless Fathers Prize Pack Giveaway going on now. This is well worth over $40, so don't miss your shot at up to TWO chances to Win.

The Great Personal Time Myth, And A Giveaway!
Monday Sep 14, 2020
Monday Sep 14, 2020
Today on Fearless Fathers, we're talking about when is the right time for "me time" as a dad. No, not talking about that. We're talking about the time to just be you and step away (if even for a little while).
Three things we want you to think about during today's episode:
1. Having your time is a good thing. We all need it. 2. Know the difference between "productive me time" and "busy me time". 3. Just be in the now, not in the future.
That's not all we're talking about either. We have our first giveaway going on, where you can win over $40+ of Fearless Father's merchandise! We have a great friend launching an amazing product soon, and looking to help him out! Just follow the rules below (can also find them on our Facebook Page).

Be Strong Enough to be Vulnerable with Nufo Perez
Thursday Sep 10, 2020
Thursday Sep 10, 2020
Today on Fearless Fathers, We have Arnulfo (Nufo) Perez. He is the creator of the "Being a Present Father" Podcast. His podcast centers on just being present in your children's lives, breaking the traditional roles of fatherhood, in more of an active role.
Nufo agreed to sit down and swap seats and let Dave pick his brain on what makes him a "Fearless Father".
Nufo brings some AMAZING insight into his life as a dad. From where his mind was when his wife was pregnant after only knowing each other six months, to how he learned from his past mistakes and adapted to his kids, to breaking his stigmas and being not just a father, but a mentor to his kids. There is so much in this episode, but we want you to hold on to these three takeaways:
1. Don't just be supportive, be present.
2. Your kids learn by your actions, not your words.
3. Discipline your kids, but don't instill fear.
You can find Nufo, and the "Being A Present Father" Podcast on Anchor.fm, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and anywhere you catch podcasts.
