Today, Ryan (Not Dave for once. He finally got Ryan to do some work.) will be taking over the mic solo. Ryan shares his thoughts about being a father working the dark, cold, sometimes never-ending world of night shift work.

Being night shift has its advantages and disadvantages. It's something that doesn't get talked about how it can affect the everyday dad. The times you feel you're missing with your child, the constant feeling of groundhog day and days just melding together.

Just Got Money, And It’s GONE

It’s something around us all the time. It’s never talked about. We see it as taboo, rude, private. How is something like money, which is all around us, considered taboo?

Why is it we as parents look at money, have a hard time keeping money, and have money worries, but never want to talk about it with other parents? That’s what we want to dig into today.

This is an extension of Dave’s Money Mindset episode. Ryan’s back, and we’re discussing our thoughts and feelings as to the stigma surrounding money as a parent. Are we the only nation that finds it taboo? Why do we feel the urge to chase the “almighty dollar” and sacrifice our happiness? Why do we feel like we’re the only ones going through this battle?

When Did You Want To Be A Dad - Thursday Thoughts

You're asked by a family member at a young age "Are you going to be a daddy one day?" You exclaim excitedly, "YEAH!" thinking about the time you get to raise your own little one. 

Or, you grew up with an understanding of uncertainty that you would even make a good, let alone a great father. We as dads have all had similar conversations in our own minds about this topic.

Why is it we continue to think of money as the "root of all evil"? What if we looked at "money comes to me fluid and free". Money is just like Switzerland. 

It's neutral. It's a tangible object that we've given the power to. What if we could change our thoughts around money, and start seeing ourselves becoming "richer" than we would have thought?

Fighting To Become Super Dad - Monday Mindset

What do you think of when you hear the words "Super Dad"? Is it someone who can do it all? A father that has it all figured out? Indestructible and a shining example of what we want to become?

In one way or another, we all feel like we are a super dad. We fly high, nothing can beat us. Then our villain shows up. They blast us out of the sky. We lose all hope. We can't move any further. 

We all have the power within us. We all have the strength to be super dad and unlock UNBELIEVABLE POWER. How do we do that? 

It starts with us. It starts with knowing who, and what we are. It starts with our weakness. 

Superman has Lex Luthor. Batman has The Joker. Spiderman has Green Goblin. Your arch enemy is you. It's "The Imposter".

Take some notes in your "dad cave", and come out stronger in today's episode.

Becoming The Best Father Is Helping Others Grow with EJ Kaku

Today, Dave talks with EJ Kaku, the owner of the online fitness coaching business "EJ Fitness". EJ has been coaching now for a little over 3 years to help other people reach their goals for fitness and nutrition. EJ specializes with those who has disabling conditions or make it hard to keep on a fitness routine. 

EJ is the father of 4 wonderful children, works full time, and is an Air Force veteran. With all of this, why does EJ coach others? Simply to see others succeed. 

EJ fell in love with fitness at a young age, and coaching became a passion of his when he was in the military. Taking all this, he designs programs for his "athletes" to be the best damn version of themselves. 

This is a great story for any father who is looking at starting their own business, and feeling their mindset is stopping them from reaching their goals. There is some great stuff in here for anyone looking to better themselves mentally, physically, or emotionally.
